Intelligent people, through their ability to analyze, often realize things which are disconcerting, which others would not see. They also are often capable of feeling more deeply, both pain and joy.

It is an interesting curse to be unusually intelligent. It seems to me that seeing things more clearly would bring a lot of pain without the requisite bit of joy in compensation.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I necessarily fall into the above category. I'd like to think I do, but even my ego isn't that big. However, I completely agree with your take on it.
