STRONG WINDS WILL RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WITH NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS AT TIMES. EXPECT 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATION...FOLLOWED BY ICE ACCUMULATION OF A TENTH OF AN INCH OR LESS. THE GREATEST AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED IN THE FINGER LAKES AND ROCHESTER AREA.
And so it begins...
The weather was nice yesterday. Tonight I pulled back my curtains to see a sheet of white covering everything and the salt trucks doing a drive-by.
Winter is officially here.
And I already hate it.
The news kills me too.
"32 degrees - Feels like 20"
What in the hell is that?
No.
It's 32 degrees - FEELS LIKE NEW YORK!
Feels like 20...
I don't know.
I think they're lying to me.
I think it feels more like 21.5
[What was it that Mark Twain, Charles Dudley Warner, Robert Johnson said? I'm just trying to back their play here.]
Kids where I live are just screwed (just like we were when we were young). There could be 3 feet of snow out there and 4 inches of ice on top of it and school would still be open.
I got to enjoy my first panic of the season tonight too.
NO CAREENING OFF OF THE ROAD FOR ANY OF YOU, DO YOU HEAR ME?!
Sorry.
That's not the way that any of you are allowed to get maimed, hurt or become dead.
JUST STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!
No... Accidents...
Perfect. On top of it, 50-60 mph winds are chucking Lake Erie's snow over to Lake Ontario. KEEP YOUR OWN SNOW!
It was an exciting drive in at 4:30 this morning for sure. Lazy-ass salt trucks must have slept in.
ReplyDeleteBrr!
ReplyDeleteYou must be getting what just came through this area the other night. I think the winter storm warning on the T.V. mentioned every county in the state except one.
ReplyDeleteI hate the cold.
I'm still hating last winter, so there.
ReplyDeleteAnd this is nothing - you know better.
I stepped out briefly onto the porch to get the mail and nearly got blown away in a gust! Our windows are rattling something fierce, but the snow missed us this time; just sleet and rain. But it's coming.
