finally...

I finally figured out what book I should write.  It came to me a few days ago and I can't believe I didn't think of it before now.  It's all so simple and right before my eyes.  I know the characters; practically intimately.

Now I just need a plot.

Poptatari, I might need you to make some inspirational cookies so I can work this out.  You'll be part of making history!

I need the motivational cookies, Poptatari!
is this working?  hint, hint... plead... hint... erm...

I called up Erin and told her the idea and she immediately said it would make a great play.

Then I told my son and he laughed his ass off at some of the characters I came up with.

My daughter asked me if I fell off the wagon (because she's a smartass) until I explained it more thoroughly; then she started throwing out other personality traits they should have and my Florida room turning into a loud sounding board complete with comments like, "WHY ISN'T IT DONE ALREADY?!"

...because, you know, books write themselves over-night...

Erin did the same thing to me, "Are you done with the first chapter already?" - "I just thought of it 10 minutes ago and we're still on the phone, so, no..."

They're a subtle bunch.

If the whole idea falls apart though, blame it on the lack of inspiration cookies...

Yes, I'm willing to go THAT low!
laughs...

  1. this is all aruse isn't it???? You are merely trying to get cookies.

good plan but it has one flaw....

You still have to write the book/play, because I think you are the one that cannot be told it cannot be done, wait that is the Aries, you are the one that cannot be told there isn't enough time...

Please don't kill me in the first act. /whimpers

totally expecting a "/stares" and begging for leniency ahead of time.

oh and one last thing......... is it done yet???

p.s. I have heard those words before.... you should write a book, why isn't it done already?

  2. "Make me some fucking cookies!" would have worked as well, without all this book writing nonsense.

Maybe I'll turn the tables on you a bit. You know, because I'm an ass like that. After the initial cookie supply (which will be modest), additional cookies will be provided only after a predetermined amount of work is complete on the book.

This will (hopefully) keep you motivated (as if you need that) and amuse the hell out of me.

If I were a *complete* ass, I'd redirect you to my blog where said cookie recipe is posted.

But you already know that because you commented there.

Maybe *you* make *me* cookies and become inspired in the process? This sounds much more appealing to me, and provides an outstanding visual - apron and all.

Can you wear an apron over your Snuggie?
