I have no experience with this either... I do think my "Best Friend" aka my dog my have this tho... (yes you kow why I am unsure of the exact nature of the illness he is suffering from)
My daughter has that mass on her liver. She just had her senior ball and her last day of school. She graduates on the 27th... and this is the reason we spent those three days in the hospital a few weeks ago.
I asked my wife this question because she was a medical reporter for a few years. Oddly enough, she covered the medical hotline this weekend and one of the doctors left his notebook behind which had a lot of pictures of hemangioma's on the skin. Lois informed me that our first born had a hemangioma on her forehead when she was born. I remember this, but I didn't know what it was called. It eventually went away after a year or so. Even after that, when she was upset or mad the blood would sometimes be pumping so hard that it became visible again. I imagine that you've already looked at a million websites, but here is another Site that she forwarded to me.
I hope things are not very serious and that the doctors figure out something soon. Did they do a biopsy? They are not so bad. My best to you and your family.
Not I.
