Passion: Energy and enthusiasm, wedded to a sense of purpose that gives life meaning and pleasure.
Without passion - life seems sad and aimless. In fact, the absence of passion is a good definition of depression.
A willingness to take chances may be the single most important element in the passionate temperament - and the risky nature of passion is one reason many people opt for safe, less intense lives.
Individuals - in contrast to their less passionate counterparts - see not trying as a greater risk than possible failure.
For women driven by strong passions and large dreams - serious thoughts and planning usually precede decisions that might seem irresponsible to a more timid person.
The line between passion and obsession is a fine one - especially when affairs of the heart are involved.
Passion is basically fun. When it hurts all the time (most of the time) - you're probably in the grips of an obsession.
Although nearly everyone experiences a wounding, destructive passion at some point in life - emotionally healthy women find the strength to get out, grieve and move on (not necessarily in that order). Furthermore, such women are frequently able to fine solace in other, non-sexual passions when their love lives are falling apart.
All truly passionate people see their capacity for involvement as an inner quality verses one that's on display for all to see.
Passion for work and achievements - like sexual passion - must be understood in terms of enjoyment as well as purpose.
People who are generally passionate about their work enjoy the process as well as the goal.
Quiet doesn't automatically, nor should it be received as - passive.
Regardless of introverted or extroverted - passions may fluctuate in ways that are both maddening and bewildering.
Loss of enthusiasm for something that once inspired intense feeling, is one of the most common, saddening experiences of adult life.
No passion - great or small - is experiences at the same level of intensity over the course of a lifetime.
Some passions dissipate because women simply outgrow them, while others only seem to disappear as a result of life changes that temporarily refocus emotional energies.

Absence of passion is the best definition for depression I think I've ever heard.
And I know i'm a freak in this way, but idk that I've ever lost my passion for anything. I do sometimes put it on the shelf for a while. But I am still passionate about it. Is that the same thing?
Your book is taking shape!!!
